Welcome to the course, Learn Serverless Framework

It's very easy to get started.

What will we learn

  • Install the Serverless Framework
  • Build our first serverless application
  • Run our application on AWS Lambda

Let's follow along to install the Serverless Framework. Then, we will use the boilerplate templates provided by the Serverless Framework, to create a serverless Node.js application, and then run it AWS Lambda.

Congratulations! We created our first serverless application running on AWS Lambda.

Install the Serverless Framework

Let's first install the Serverless Framework. Click on the code block below to execute the command in your work environment.

npm install serverless -g

Now, let's check if Serverless was installed correctly.

npm list -g | grep serverless

Let's check the version of Serverless that was installed.

serverless --version

We can see that we have it installed.

Now, that we have the Serverless Framework installed, we can go ahead and create our first serverless application.
