Step 1) Pulling Alpine from Docker Hub

We are going to install Snyk inside of an Alpine Container. Since the box already has docker installed we can begin by performing the following command: docker pull alpine:latest

Once docker has successfully pulled the file you can see just how big the alpine operating system is with the following docker command: docker image ls -a

You will see just how much smaller it is compared to other images such as ubuntu or redis
