MediaWiki is a confortable alternative to share some information about a project.

It has a lot of module (API, chat, upload file, ldap module, etc...). You can customize each sheets with a wide panel of policy, format, ...

The hostname is called docker. If you want to access any of the services, then use docker instead of localhost or 0.0.0.0.

Deploy your MediaWiki with Docker

Search & Install

First, Search a MediaWiki in the official Docker Registry.

docker search --filter=stars=1 mediawiki

The most popular package is named : synctree/mediawiki.

So, use the following command to install it :

docker run -d -p 80:80 --name katawiki synctree/mediawiki

Now, try it using curl command : curl docker

Container named katawiki doesn't work, do a state verification : docker ps -a

Its state is Exited, so take a look into the container's logs : docker logs katawiki

We need a mysql database to store data!
