Deploy Mesos Elasticsearch Framework

Step 1 of 7

Task Definition

The structure of the Marathon task is similar to deploying a Docker Image. You can view the file using cat deploy.json

In this case, we are deploying a Java jar file. Marathon requires access to the jar defined as a URI, which will be /root/elasticsearch-mesos-scheduler-1.0.0-withDependencies.jar. Minimesos manages the mapping between your home directory and Marathon. If your home directory is /home/ubuntu then this should be reflected in the JSON file.

When launching the jar, some parameters are required. The main parameter is zookeeperMesosUrl, the IP address of where Zookeeper is running, by default with minimesos this is 172.18.0.3. The others define to performance and Java runtime paths.
